HAVE YOU LOST YOUR CAREER MOJO?

Building and sustaining a career can be hard work, but then again, nothing worthwhile came from sitting back and chilling, right?

So, if you find yourself in a rut and can’t get back to focusing on your career, consider this:

1. BALANCE

Yes, you have heard it before, a hundred times over, but finding that balance between work and play is crucial to longevity. Make sure your diary has a healthy split between fun stuff and work stuff (not that work shouldn’t be fun, mind you!)

2. INVEST IN YOURSELF

The key to climbing the career ladder is to continuously educate yourself. You can never go wrong if you invest in improving your brain power. There is always something to learn.

3. SELL TO YOURSELF

If you’re feeling like what you’re doing isn’t so exciting and possibly going nowhere, then think about the aspects that are worthy. Build up a sales pitch and pitch it to yourself. If you don’t bite, then you may need to tweak it a bit or even look at different career options.

4. MAKE THE CIRCLE BIGGER

Surrounding yourself with likeminded and inspirational people can help you to find that boost you so desperately need. You are not an island, so don’t try move forward alone. Others can be a great source of help when you have a question, a fear or even an idea.

5. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

As mentioned, you won’t find that it will be easy all the time, or even most of the time, so keep practicing your craft. Whether its sales, marketing, a creative avenue or a physically demanding skill set – keep practicing till its perfect or as close as possible.
